SD Governor's House Program
Delivering Affordable Homes to Mitchell
MAHI has partnered with SD Housing to accelerate this excellent program in providing efficient and affordable prebuilt homes in Mitchell. With a variety of options, we can help you get into the perfect home built by an experienced program that has been delivering homes for over 25 years.
The Governor's House programs offers multiple home sizes and designs to suit the buyer's needs and location. MAHI has delivered multiple homes in Mitchell since 2022 and currently has nearly 20 homes on order. While we have plans to place many of these homes in our Ridgeview on Foster and Southlake Estates housing developments, they will be made available to any applicant if they have a suitable location.
Basic Qualifications (updated April 2025):
- Make $71,540 or less in a one- or two-person household or $81,760 or less in a household of three or more
- Have net worth of less than $125,000—or $105,000 in liquid assets—for applicants age 61 or younger
- Have net worth of less than $250,000—or $140,000 in liquid assets—for applicants age 62 or older
- Consider the home their only residence
- Place the home within South Dakota
